Players who often don't get to play in big games deserve lots of credit and respect for the heroic and unquestionable character they display by being a competitive, committed but selfless cheer leader and teammate when sitting on the bench.
In many cases, the most important players on a team are the ones often forgotten by their coaches, teammates, fans and the media.
["The Bench"]
Without the day to day support of players who are on the team but who sit the bench, the success of the team wouldn't be the same.
I believe that players who get to play in games should esteem every player on the bench before, during and after each games by engaging in healthy meaningful dialog, respect and bench interaction. And in some cases players who play a lot should consider buying them a burger for being such a huge support to the team without complaining.
[Fans]
After each game, we the fans shouldn't be able to distinguish who the one or two stars were from the game.We should only notice that those who sat the bench and those who played are simply one in the same.
"Where there's unity there's strength. One team, one goal, one opportunity."
And last, for players who are often asked to be interviewed by a news reporter, try telling the reporter that you would like to bring your entire bench over and let him and/or her get their thoughts.
Success is team, everyone counts and everyone wins!
