3-5 Free Throw Attempts

*Fouling out erases everything!

“Helping Me Help the Kids.”

Building Believers Inc. is a community based youth sports organization.

Through the years, with your support, BBI has been able to offer (on and off site):

Basketball camps, clinics, team & community building programs, to those with a greater need

Fellowship of Christian athletes speaking engagements

Sports & educational based counseling

Community service to youth

Your financial support is needed the most, as we continue to offer these services to families and communities who lack the necessary means to support the growth and development of children through sports based initiatives.

Below is a list of our 3 main goals for 2016:

·         Partner with a needy community in the North Texas Area, and jointly host long term after school programs, weekend basketball clinics, and holiday and summer camps for youth grades 1^st-8^th. Through these programs, we will build relationships with individuals that will improve their self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem.

We will also strive to raise educational & family values, build character and integrity, and strengthen communities with the love of Jesus Christ.

·         Reinvest in our HHB/BBI facility

Gymnasium: repair ceiling, refinish basketball court, replace bay doors and purchase maintenance equipment

Outside:   install a French drain, improve parking area, repair and paint outside building

·         Hire and train energetic staff who are led and called to serve in our youth sports organization as BBI continues to spread the love of Jesus Christ through sports based initiatives.

Christmas Eve

You don’t want to miss the action!

Join Deon on Christmas Eve as he hosts a 1.5 hour event which includes a spiritual testimony about his personal journey walking and living a Christ centered life.

December 24^th

9:00am – 10:45am:   3rd/4^th and 5^th/6^th graders (co-ed) (15 minute testimony)

11:00am-12:45pm:   7^th-12^th graders (co-ed) (15 minute testimony)

*Competition Drills will be elevated for the 7^th-12^th grade group.

Game Plan:

·        Special stretching warm-up

·        Speed, agility and quickness exercise

·        Dribbling competition.

·        Shooting competition

·        Passing competition

·        Free Throw Contest

·        Living the Christ Centered Life Testimony  by Deon Hunter

This is a community based event. Participants must bring a non-perishable food item to participate in this special event. These items will be donated to the Lena Pope Home Food Pantry (www.lenapopehome.org).

Only when a player plays hard on every possession, on both ends of the court, all the time and everyday can they say that they're fully committed and giving their best.

The price that student-athletes must pay to have a high and meaningful amount of success (in the classroom & on the court) is often a much higher price than they're willing to play.

During the holiday season, if a person (Christian) starts to feel down and out (and began to get the blues), I suggest that they kneel before the lord in constant prayer and dedicate themselves to reading and hearing the word of God daily until it brings comfort and peace to their hearts and souls.
